No, not like some have predicted the end of time to come this Saturday. But, on August 19, my days of working on my Master of Arts in Theological Studies will end. It’s been an insane ride. The past year and a half has been challenging, but rewarding. In fact, I would say it’s been life changing. Maybe a little mind-numbing too. During this time I’ve become a father, started new ministries, and argued internally over more theological issues than I can keep track of. I’ve learned so much about myself and really solidified some theological issues that were lingering in a cloud of uncertainty in my mind. However, if I had to give a brief summary of my experience with seminary, it’s this:
I don’t understanding God any more now than before I started seminary. I just think I do.
